As a Credit Controller with Taylor Maxwell & Co Ltd, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of a debtors ledger & cash collection for a business/set of customers to maximise collections & minimise risk.

This position is full time (35 hours per week, Monday to Friday).

Detail

  • Proactive liaison with customers and / or sales team including via telephone, email and letter
  • Prompt management and resolution of queries
  • Customer & Debtor account reconciliations
  • Cash allocations / postings
  • Perform Credit Checks
  • Customer account set up / credit checking / management of credit limits
  • Telephone Cash Collections
  • Report on accounts, bad debts & insurance claims
  • Reduce overall debtor levels

Essential

  • 2+ years’ experience working in Credit Control / Finance Role
  • Experience of using Microsoft Great Plains / Dynamics / Other Accounting Packages
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Calm and assertive being able to communicate across all levels of the business.
  • Capacity to prioritise tasks and work under pressure
  • Methodical with attention to detail and accuracy

Desirable

  • Qualified with a Chartered Institute of Credit Management
  • Knowledge of construction industry / distribution businesses
