Regional Sales Directors

Taylor Maxwell is pleased to announce the promotion of three long-standing team members to Regional Sales Director, recognising their significant contribution to the business and their role in driving continued growth across the UK.

These appointments reflect the strength of Taylor Maxwell’s internal talent, with each individual bringing extensive experience, deep industry knowledge, and a shared commitment to delivering value through a specification-led approach.

Matt Gladman – Regional Sales Director, London and South East

Matt Gladman brings over 20 years’ experience across construction specification, sales, and management, with a strong understanding of both the commercial and technical aspects of delivering successful projects.

Having joined Taylor Maxwell in 2008 as a sales trainee in the South East, Matt has progressed through the business, building a broad and in-depth knowledge of its operations, markets and client base. His career reflects a consistent focus on growth, relationship-building, and delivering value across both specification-led and volume-driven environments.

Since moving into his first management role in 2020, Matt has taken responsibility for leading sales operations across the South East. In his new role as Regional Sales Director, he will continue to drive regional performance, strengthen strategic partnerships, and ensure a consistent, high-quality approach to customer engagement and delivery.

Ian Lander – Regional Sales Director, Midlands and South West

Ian Lander brings over 30 years’ experience across the construction and facade materials sector. His career spans geotechnical engineering, building envelope performance and facade design, providing a rare end-to-end understanding of how buildings are conceived, specified and delivered.

With a background rooted in specification, Ian has consistently operated at the intersection of design intent and commercial delivery. Prior to joining Taylor Maxwell in 2018, he held senior specification roles at Ibstock Brick, working closely with RIBA and contributing to architectural education through lectures, studio work and international study tours, as well as being invited to act as an RIBA competition judge.

At Taylor Maxwell, Ian has played a key role in strengthening performance across the Midlands and South West, developing long-term strategic partnerships and embedding a more disciplined, specification-led approach to growth. As a board member, he will focus on positioning Taylor Maxwell as the UK’s leading facade solutions partner, combining technical expertise with commercial clarity and consistent delivery.

Andy Dickson – Regional Sales Director, North and Scotland

Andy Dickson joined Taylor Maxwell in 2007 as a graduate trainee in the Loanhead office, gaining hands-on experience across administrative operations, yard management and customer relationship development. This early exposure provided him with a comprehensive understanding of both the business and its customer base.

Progressing into a Sales Executive role in Glasgow in 2011, Andy’s consistent performance and leadership saw him advance to Senior Sales and, subsequently, Regional Manager in 2020. During this time, he played a central role in establishing Taylor Maxwell’s Glasgow showroom and championed a specification-led approach to project engagement. He has contributed to a number of notable developments, including Laurieston Phases 1 and 2, West Dunbartonshire Council HQ and the Royal Dornoch Golf Club.

In 2023, Andy’s remit expanded to include regional leadership across Manchester, Leeds, Glasgow, and Edinburgh, alongside responsibility for the Cumbernauld yard. His leadership has strengthened commercial performance, reinforced operational discipline and supported a more strategic approach to growth.

Now a member of the Board, Andy remains focused on developing emerging talent within the business, ensuring new team members receive the same support and opportunity that shaped his own career. He is also a strong advocate for the next generation of construction professionals, having led Taylor Maxwell’s sponsorship of the Glasgow Institute of Architects Student Awards over the past two years.
