Overview
To provide administrative support to the Operations team, ensuring the effective management of stock and purchasing administration processes and the delivery of excellent service to customers and suppliers.
This position is full time (35 hours per week, Monday to Friday) and permanent.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Manage inbound stock shipments by monitoring ETAs and communicating with the team once stock is received and committed
- Import supplier stock pack details onto the system and create CSV file formats where required
- Reconcile supplier pricing with system pricing and query and resolve any discrepancies
- Create works orders for pack stock treatment and liaise with treatment plants to monitor works schedules
- Assist with physical monthly and annual stock takes at UK stock sites and complete system stock reconciliation
- Resolve stock or invoice queries and escalate where appropriate
- Raise stock orders on a call-off basis in line with company procedures
- Monitor imported back-to-back sales orders and delivery schedules in line with company procedures
- Ensure supplier orders are received in full and monitor outstanding balances
- Support accreditation and certification processes and queries where required
- Work with IT to continuously improve stock systems
- Liaise with the sales team to ensure excellent levels of customer service
- Adhere to company minimum standards
- Undertake any other duties required to support the achievement of company objectives
Essential
- Minimum 1 years’ experience in an office-based administrative role
- Demonstrable experience of using stock control systems
- Good understanding of stock control procedures
- Well-developed telephone call handling skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Good numerical and written skills
- Ability to work accurately and quickly with strong attention to detail
- Ability to work under pressure and make effective decisions
- Ability to use own initiative when solving problems
- Good skills in Word, Excel, and the general Windows environment
- Team player with the ability to work effectively with others
- Strong time management skills
- Prepared to travel occasionally to UK stock sites
- Located within commutable distance of the Leeds office

- Experience within the construction industry
