Taylor Maxwell & Co Limited COVID-19 Statement
In these unprecedented and changing times, Taylor Maxwell is committed to offer all employees, suppliers and customers the support needed to manage the challenges that we all face in the coming days, weeks and maybe even months.
As a business we are following the guidelines provided by the Government and Public Health England, this is being reviewed through a daily conference call involving a working party formed from the Senior Management of the business, representing all departments. The health and wellbeing of our employees, customers and suppliers is our priority and we are taking all necessary steps to minimise any potential spread of COVID-19. Where possible our employees are working from home and we are utilising all available technology to ensure communication is maintained. All of our administration offices are operating as usual, at the same time as ensuring that any vulnerable colleagues, and those that need to self-isolate, are working from home. Following the closure of all schools and nurseries we are reacting to individuals needs to ensure they can operate on a flexible basis to suit their specific circumstances.
There is a drive within the construction industry to ‘keep Britain building’ which Taylor Maxwell fully supports. A high percentage of the products distributed by the business are manufactured within the UK utilising local raw materials. Stocks are generally at a level to facilitate and maintain current supply volumes. Communication with all logistic partners is also being monitored with subcontract haulage being considered and utilised if needed. We are in close contact with our supply base and are monitoring events closely to ensure any disruption, as a result of the pandemic, are kept to a minimum. Taylor Maxwell’s national network of sales and customer service offices are open with staff available to manage all customer and supplier activity, the external sales team is working from home to limit the interaction with customers, suppliers and colleagues. All functions carried out as part of the head office operation in Bristol are being maintained and all offices across the group are respecting the social distancing guidelines set out by the Government.
As a business we are confident that we will react quickly to the changing picture we are all facing, and we will ensure any changes to our operational procedures are clearly communicated. We will be flexible to ensure we provide the necessary support to all of our employees, customers and suppliers at the same time as ensuring we are taking all necessary steps to follow the Government and health guidelines through these uncertain times.
